Cassation (criminal cases)

Once a case has been tried by two actual courts, the Court of Law and the Court of Appeal, both the Public Prosecution Service and the defendant may bring a given case before our highest court of justice, the Netherlands Supreme Court. Handling of cassation cases requires experience and expertise in this branch of law, and is provided by our firm.

Litigation on criminal cassation is a substantial part of the practice of one of the firm members; mr. R.J. Baumgardt, who handles over a hundred cassation proceedings annually.

Both on behalf of the clientele of our firm and our confrere lawyers in the Netherlands who employ our services to handle and advise them on the final leg of the criminal proceedings before the Netherlands Supreme Court.
